My 27th in NYC.

On Saturday I turned the big 2-7. To celebrate, my boyfriend & I headed into New York City to do what we do best, eat

Started our day off with the BEST macarons in the city from the Macaron Parlour. They have a stand in the Union Square holiday pop up market & we were told they recently opened a store front. The red velvet macaron was amazinggg.

Also at the Union Square market were these magical waffles or dinges. This lovely had their special spekuloos spread (gingerbread cookie spread) & nutella on it.

Next we stopped at Crumbs to split a birthday cupcake!

Look! A non-food related picture!

Our last food stop was due to a recommendation from a colleague of mine. He raved and raved about this pizza that basically had artichoke dip on top of it. O.M.G was he right. If you are ever in NYC, really, you should try a slice @ Artichoke Basille's Pizza

And lastly, a little gift I picked up for myself- a charm bracelet from Alex & Ani. Cute, simple & stackable + its... "infused with energy".

Here's to 27.

Old Navy Wish-list 11.4.12

Old Navy has some pretty cute stuff on their website- so I figured I'd show you what I've added to my wish-list. Now I can say that I want this stuff all I want, but there is always the possibility of trying it on in-store and it fitting like crap not so great. So here goes...

The polka-dot sweater seems so Kate Spade! And this fox trend.... not sure I'm jumping on board, but the printed-crew sweaters are definitely cute!

Rodarte for Starbucks

Starting Novemer 13th you can head to Starbucks and pick up mugs, tote bags, mug sleeves and gift cards all designed by Rodarte. Fast Company describes it as "a pixelated logo inside a flurry of gray and white pixels."

I can tell you that the mug will definitely be on my Christmas Hanukkah wish list.

Glitter Ankle Boots

Someone tweeted this picture earlier this year and it is STILL saved on my phone.

Turns out they were $595 ankle boots from Barneys AKA, wayyyy out of my price range. Luckily the glitter ankle boots below popped up at DSW.

At $54.95, they are definitely more budget friendly. I looked for these at 2 different DSW's and couldn't find them. Your best bet may be to purchase online if you are interested in these.

Simply Vera Vera Wang Thong Sandals

As soon as I spotted these sandals I knew I had to have them. The best part was... they were on clearance! SCORE. The black pair was $12.99 (yes, you read that correctly) and the white pair were $17.99 (you know, that whole "its more money b/c its a different color" thing).

SO very Louboutin(ish).

They look even better in person & are SO very comfortable. Head to your nearest Kohls ASAP!

Check out this collaboration. Fashion + incredibly comfortable sandals = perfection.

The only question is, are they worth $70?! If you are looking for something unique but don't feel like shelling out the $70- check out these...

Evil Eye Havaianas! These are quite tempting for $32. Fun, fashionable & these sandals last foreverrr!

Sydney Evan Love Necklace Dupe

I've seen this Sydney Evan Love necklace all over the internet and on quite a few TV stars (okay, just Teresa Giudice from the RHONJ) but it comes with the hefty price tag of $840.

Luckily I found this dupe at Target for $34.99. It's only available in stores, so pick one up if you happen to see it-- I only spotted one in my target!

The Scent Of Departure

How flipping awesome are these fragrances?! For $45 you can pick from 19 different scents that represent different destinations. No, the fragrances don't literally represent the smell of the destination, but... take NYC for example- "The Big Apple" has a strong apple scent. Get it?! I'm definitely going to pick one up...just not sure which one yet. Check out the elements of each fragrance here

Recent Purchases 4.16.12

Check out my recent purchases. Slowly but surely I'll get through my wishlist.

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette. Find it here. I picked this up because my urban decay naked palette has all of the warm tones covered, but I was lacking in the cool toned colors. I love these convenient palettes that you can easily take with you.

Too Faced Candlelight Glow Duo. Find it here. My sister has the original and it doesn't even compare. This is the perfect subtle glow that I have been looking for.

MAC Extra Dimension Highlighter in Supurb. Find it here. This is not at all a subtle highlighter, but its great to have in your collection when you want that bolder highlight look. There are three color options but I liked the rose gold look of this one. It's back in stock- grab it while you can!

Ray Ban 3026. So excited I finally decided on a pair of sunglasses! I was originally eyeing the Ray Ban 3025, but when I found a random pair of 3026's at my local sunglass hut I HAD to have them! They are a bit "oversized" but thats just what I was looking for. Definitely check out these sunnies. Find them here.

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder

Say hello to my new love. I used to be a Bare Minerals user, but I've noticed recently that it tends to dry out my skin. After watching a video or two where LegallyBrunette214 RAVED about this, I had to have it.

I was almost tempted not to get it because of the $35 price tag, but after finally trying it out in the store, I was sold. It provides the perfect amount of coverage & it really seems to even out my skin tone.

If you are a fan of mineral foundations and you've been itching for a change- I definitely recommend this product!
 You can find it here

Shoes.

I think I have a slight obsession. All I think about lately is shoes. Here are two of the latest additions...

First up: Tory Burch Caroline Patent Ballet Flats in Camille Pink. After Laura from Buy Now Blog Later blogged about these, I had to have them. They are the perfect nude flat and they go with everything.$225 was a bit out of my budget- so I ended up scoring a much cheaper (and slightly worn) pair off of eBay. They worked out great because they were already worn in!
Next up: The Kate Spade Tipsy dupes I was looking for. They add the perfect splash of neon to any outfit. Can't wait to sport these in the spring. I found this pair at a Banana Republic outlet for $25 (half off the $50 retail).

I legit need to start getting rid of some of my shoes to make room for the new ones that have been making their way to check out counters with me!

Las Vegas Eats

So I just got back from a business trip to Vegas and while it's not as fun as going there for pleasure, I did get the chance to eat some pretty awesome things.

Besides showing you the basics....
I'll show you my good eats...
Escargot at Bally's Steakhouse

Lobster Mac & Cheese at Bally's Steakhouse

Grilled Chicken Panini with Waffle fries dusted with Chili & Cocoa powder (holy YUM.) at Max Brenners

Buffalo Chicken Dip at Holsteins- HIGHLY recommend this place

Fried Pickles at Holsteins

Brown Cow- alcoholic MILKSHAKE (root beer, vanilla ice cream, pop rocks, myer's rum) at Holsteins

Capellini Il Mulino at Il Mulino- delicious, and they give you like 5 free appetizers before your meal comes

Frozen MINT Hot Chocolate at Serendipity's- had to finally try this & it was amazing

I hope I gave you a few good ideas if you're headed to Vegas soon. Am I the only person that likes to "eat" their way through a vacation?!!?
