Mossimo Wedges

Right before I left for vacation I ran into Target for some quick bathroom supplies. Of course I had to browse the shoe section while I was there (real quick) and I spotted these beauties!

The shoes were only $19.99 but I feel like they look 3x more expensive. On Targets website they have a tan color as well which I didn't see in the store. I may have to order them. Here is the link to the shoes on Target's website if you like them as much as I do! What do you think?

Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch

So as some of you know, I just got back from a cruise to the Caribbean. Aside from the beautiful water and great weather, shopping is something you have to do while there. Well, let me clarify, duty free shopping that is. I have been on the hunt for a rose gold watch recently and I couldn’t decide if I wanted the Fossil version or the Michael Kors version. Fossil’s version would set me back $95 while the Michael Kors version would cost me $250. As soon as we arrived at St. Thomas I hit the streets on the hunt for rose gold. Barely any stores sold the Fossil version, so Michael Kors it was. Most of the stores would only take off 10% but I was hoping to find a better deal. One store promised me 15% but when we arrived they only ended up having the rose gold watch with a white face. Although it was pretty, I much preferred the fully rose gold watch.

Finally on our way back to the boat I strolled into one last store, which had the watch. I tried to get more than 10% off but they wouldn’t budge. As my father and I headed out of the store, they called out and asked, “How will you be paying?” We replied “cash” and so they gave us 15% off!

My final price for this beauty was $212, no tax! Not too shabby! I literally can’t get over how unique this color is and I recommend to everyone that they at least try it on at the store! Don’t yell at me if you end up loving it and walking home with one for yourself!

Rachel Roy Drusy & Crystal Ring

While browsing the net the other day I came across Rachel Roy's website. I really liked some of her pieces and poked around the website. Thats when I came across these beauties.

Say hello to the Drusy & Crystal Rings:

At $42 I don't think they are priced too high. The teal/copper ring is my favorite....but I'm also liking the black. Kind of reminds me of rock candy on my finger! If you like what you see you can get one here. While you are there check out some of her other pieces...very stylish/edgy.

What do you think?

Tucker for Target

WOW. Its been a whole month since my last post! I apologize, I just started student teaching and its taking up A LOT of my time! Anyways, now that I am student teaching, I need work appropriate clothing. So no more low cut shirts or leggings for me, its time for big girl clothing! lol. And mostly, I am on the hunt for dresses. Easy to slip on in the morning and run out the door! So when I heard that there was a new designer series coming to target with a ton of dresses in the mix, I HAD to check it out. And I'm glad I did!
I ended up picking up 2 of the same dress but in different patterns. I absolutely love the fit and they are perfect with or without stockings and a pair of boots!

and my fav...

I know the blue pattern is sold out online so run to your nearest target and see if they still have it! They retail for $39.99 and most stores seem to have limited quantities!
Did you pick up anything from the tucker line?!

Paul Mitchell Super Clean Sculpting Gel

So I have naturally curly hair that needs to have product in it to look good. But when it comes to hair products, I am quite picky. When my hair is curly I expect the curls to be soft and perfectly sculpted and thanks to Paul Mitchell, I can make that happen! I have tried many brands like Deva Curl, Garnier Fructis, Aussie, Bed Head, Big Sexy Hair, and random drugstore brands but NOTHING compares to this gel!

If you are looking for non-crunchy, soft, natural looking curls, I totally recommend you at least try this gel! Once you fall in love with it you can pick up the huge bottle like me! It will take me a long time to go through all of this gel and the pump is SO convenient! Definitely gets an A+ in my book!

Polishes

I recently picked up a few nail polishes and I thought I'd share them with you all! First up is Sephora's Myrtille. I LOVE the color, but the formula is quite thick and semi hard to work with. Also, the polish started chipping the 3rd day with even with a base AND top coat! Next is the almighty Chanel Jade look a like, Milani's Dress Maker. Personally, I don't think the color is THAT great. It's quite subtle and soft, but I guess that's just not my style! My favorite of the bunch is Essie's Sew Psyched. It is the PERFECT military green for fall nails. It photographs darker than it actually is, but trust me, its gorgeous!

Here are the swatches. From left to right- Dress Maker, Sew Psyched, Myrtille.(Don't mind my smudged middle finger!)

CCO Haul

It has been my mission to hunt down any CCO that is within any sort of distance of me. Whether I'm on vacation, taking a day trip or just in the mood to shop I make it a point to find the nearest Cosmetic Company Outlet. I'm pretty sure I've been to 4 different CCO's within the past 2 months! lol. So sad. Anyways, luckily I've come across some great finds!

Ever since I got a hold of the Dirty greasepaint stick I've been hunting for more. The CCO's are great place to find them because you a) get them cheaper and b) find colors that have been discontinued. I picked up Lucky Jade (light green) and Taupographic (brown/golden). I also have been loving Estee Lauder lipsticks. They have great color payoff and are very moisturizing. I picked up Honey Rose (coral/mauve) and Perfect Pink (semi-bright pink). The two MAC eyeshadows are Smoke & Diamonds (shimmery grey) and Mink & Sable (golden green). And let me tell you I am OBSESSED with both of them. They even look great when you wear them together! Lastly, I picked up my first MAC dazzleglass. The only reason I bought this color (She-Zam) was because it reminded me of the Sparklicious dazzleglass that sold out from the Alice & Olivia collection (which I totally wanted!).
Here are the swatches!

From Top to Bottom:
Smoke & Diamonds- MAC Eyeshadow
Mink & Sable- MAC Eyeshadow
Taupographic- MAC Shadestick
Lucky Jade- MAC Shadestick
Honey Rose- Estee Lauder Lipstick
Perfect Pink- Estee Lauder Lipstick
And on the far right of my hand....
She-Zam- MAC Dazzleglass

Here is a comparison of Estee Lauders Honey Rose and MAC's Jazzed. I LOVE Honey Rose because to me, is 10x more of a wearable coral than Jazzed.
Honey rose is on top & Jazzed is on the bottom

See anything you like?!

I know, I'm a terrible blogger. I'm sorry! Between school, work, taking the praxis and trying to live, I have neglected my blog! But I'm back! And I'm back with some accessories! So, a new Target opened by my house and oh my gosh is it gorgeous! Seriously, I think I just walked around the store in awe. I even saw items that I haven't seen in the 2 other targets in my area! Anyways, here are the goods (plus a thing or two from Forever 21 & Kohls).

Shirt- Target
Evil Eye Necklace- Target
Love Necklace- Forever 21
Circle Necklace- Daisy Fuentes (Kohls)
Cupcake Earrings, Ring, Pink Ring- Forever 21, Vera Wang (Kohls), Target

As you can see I am expanding my "gold" jewelry and I am excited to wear it all! Which are your favs?!

Victoria's Secret Eyeshadows Pt. 2

LOVE these shadows. Seriously, for $10 you can not go wrong! I now own more Victoria's secret eyeshadows than MAC eyeshadows. These two new additions to my collection are called 24K (gold) and Gaze (green).

You can build them up or just dab them on for a nice sheer sparkle.

This won't be my last post on Victoria's Secret shadows because I definitely plan on buying more!

N.Y.C. Volumizing Mascara

Such a unique color, yet such a terrible product. At least in my opinion. I literally woke up with the grossest eyes the next morning after not scrubbing off all of the product before bed. I kid you not, if you have sensitive eyes, save your money.

OMG! Shoes

Just thought I'd share with you some of my recent shoe purchases. First we have the infamous Converse All Stars. I love the way girls look when they wear them so I figured I'd pick up a pair and try them out. I had heard good and bad about whether or not they were comfortable, and for the most part, I think they are. Granted I haven't worn them while on my feet for 8 hours, but for general use, I think they are just fine! I picked up a pair in white from Journey's for $39.99.

Next, we have these Rampage wedges.

I had read about them on another blog and instantly ran to DSW to check them out. Needless to say, I went home with a pair. They come in this natural color and in black, but I figured the natural color would be more versatile. I've grown to love wedges because unlike heals, they are so much easier on my feet. For $34.99, I'd say they are worth the investment!

OPI Coronation

I just picked up OPI's Coronation, part of OPI's Designer Series nail polish and let me tell you, it is gorgeous! It is the perfect summer color for glowing finger nails! When the sun hits your fingernails it creates this rainbow(ish) bright glow that just puts a smile on my face! The nail polishes that are part of the designer series are a bit more expensive than normal OPI polishes, but they are totally worth the extra $$! Check it out!

And on my nails....

I wore it alone but I could see it also working on top of a color. It almost reminds me of a toned down version of China Glazes OMG. Overall, if you can find it at a reasonable price (I paid $6.25 at the beauty supply store) I would definitely try it out!

UPDATE: This is how it looks in the SUN!

MAC Marine Life "Highlight" Powder

It was definitely an adventure to get a hold of one of MAC's Marine Life Highlight Powder. At first I placed an early order through MAC's website, only to get an email two days later that they were sold out (before they even technically went on sale!). Then I heard to order off of the Nordstrom website (which I didn't, because I knew they would most likely "sell out" as well). So finally I called my Macys counter the day before they went on sale and put one on hold!
When I got there I had to give my name to pick it up because they had already sold out before they were able to put them on the shelves! I didn't see anything else that really wow'd me, so I just went home with Marine Life.

I instantly opened it up and swiped off the gold overspray everyone was talking about and finally unleashed the most beautiful BLUSH color ever!

I say blush because there is no way that I am using this as a highlight?! It is the perfect mix of coral and pink and it makes for great summer cheeks. As you can see on my hand, Marine Life is also SUPER pigmented! Seriously, I grab for it everyday now! I almost wish I could get another one as a backup!
If you haven't checked out this color... I recommend that you do! Hopefully they'll have a few in stock!! (Fingers crossed for you!)

L'OREAL HIP: Color Rich Cream Crayons

So, if you don't already know, CVS is having their 50% or 75% off sale right now. I decided to head to my local CVS and check things out. Nothing really caught my attention until I came across these babies.

I have been wanting to pick up a MAC greasepaint stick for some time now, but when I read the description on these color rich cream crayons, they sounded like they would do the same things as a greasepaint stick. After looking at some greasepaint stick swatches online, I now see that they are a bit "fatter" with more of a dramatic payoff.
Anyways, for 75% off ($2.49 each) these cream crayons are a great, more wearable dupe with AMAZING staying power. I would say they are more eyeliners, but if you wanted to you could probably pull these off as an eyeshadow.
In this first picture you will see the colors applied to my hand. (Top-Bottom: Intricate blue, Perfectionist black and Meticulous golden)

Now here they are after me rubbing over them a good 10 times!

Don't the two images look EXACTLY the same?! To be honest, I even ran some errands with the swatches on my hand and I SWEAR to you, they still look the same as when I first put them on! This is amazing news for someone like me who always has eyeliner end up in the corner of her eye! They even come with litter sharpeners on the ends too if you want more precision. If you like what you see head to your nearest CVS and pick up a few! For $2.49, I don't think they can get much better!

Sally Hansen Nail Polish- Hidden Treasure

I first heard about this nail polish on twitter. There was a buzz going around that it was impossible to find, so of course I HAD to go out and "find" it. Long story short, after driving to 5 different drug stores and calling 12 more, no one had it, but the lovely Valerie from Material Instinct grabbed an extra and sent it to me! I am SO glad that she did because no one should be without this color! It's an amazing glittery/holographic finish that looks so unique over ANY nail polish. It's great because it jazz's up any old nail polish that you already own! Ok, enough yapping, here it is!

And here it is over Essie's Lapis of Luxury...

Gorgeous right?!?! I recommend that everyone cross their fingers and head to their nearest drugstore/walmart/whatever! This polish is too good to pass up!

N.Y.C. Blushable Creme Sticks

Seriously, I have got to be the worst blogger EVER! I apologize for my absence but finally this semester of college is OVER! Now, onto the important stuff, N.Y.C Blushable Creme Sticks! So, I first heard about these on YouTube and ran to my nearest drugstore to grab two. Little did I know, I didn't get the two that everyone was talking about, I just got some that were a part of the permanent collection. As soon as I found out the two I didn't get were "Limited Edition", I was on a mission, and I found them!!

From left to right, Pink Flash (LE), Wild Berry (LE), Plaza Pink & Big Apple Blush

And swatches (in the same order)...

And rubbed in swatches...

Pink Flash and Wild Berry are definitely BOLD colors, but they do blend well as you can see. Plaza Pink and Big Apple blush are a little bit more subtle and have more of a "shimmer" to them. All of these colors work great alone, but I am starting to discover that they also make great blush bases (almost like what the NYX jumbo eye pencils do for your eyeshadows as a base). I am overall very pleased with these creme blushes and the price tag of $3.99 isn't too shabby either!!

Tick Tock

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter break! This weather is beautiful! Anyways, this wonderful weather has got me thinking about a fun new watch! I already have a silver, gold and black watch but I've been craving another white watch since my guess white watch has failed me :( My next white watch will either have to be plastic, resin or ceramic, because that whole stainless steel with a white coating thing doesn't work for me! I'm rough on my watches and that white coating eventually peels off! So here are a few watches that I've been eyeing...

I love this paisley dial!

Oh the color!

How fun is a clear watch!?

What do you think?
